The power of Self Affirmations.

Self affirmation is a positive attitude, a positive statement that you promise to yourself. You believe in it and repeat it everyday. Its a change that you want to bring in yourself. It is the power of self belief that helps you to focus and achieve your goals.

Self affirmations can be made for a simple situation like "I will not shout on my child" or it can be made for a complex performance based situation like "I am the best tennis player out there and I will prove it".

So How does it actually work?

You see.. Its all in the brain. when you keep feeding it positive thoughts everyday, your brain gets used to positivity. It signals you positive senses, positive thoughts and helps you see positive in everything. It gives you all the positive energy that you need to fulfill your goals.

On the other hand if you always think negative you have a negative attitude..that's because your brain is trained to always find the negative. After all, "You are what you think".  With this attitude your body feels lazy, lethargic and a failure..hence more negativity surrounds you.

Haven't you come across a situation when you are driving with friends and are really very hungry..all you can spot everywhere is restaurants. That's because the brain signals you what you want.

In the beginning it might take some time to adjust to the new positive attitude that you want..but trust me, if you stay consistent, your brain will recognize it as your habit and the same will reciprocate in your actions.

There is a saying that "You choose to be happy, Happiness doesn't choose you". You should try to see the positive in every situation and be happy. Good things will follow surely.

But then we also know that to err is human, sometimes we get weak..we tend to loose hope and slack down. Which is why there are tools available in the market that keeps reminding you of your promise, your affirmation, your goals.
They are called Empowerment tools that come in form of necklaces, bracelets or rings. You wear them so that you follow the promise that you made to yourself. You wear them to be reminded of your affirmations as you are trying to be better at something and won't give up.

Let me just tell you something upfront..these tools that I am talking about are not magic. There is nothing like a success necklace that you can wear and "hey presto!! you are successful.. without any hard work.."!! NO. There are no magic gemstones, crystals or symbols that will magically do something for you. They are simply tools for your empowerment and to help you be a better person.

The gemstones definitely have their energies and have been used for their healing properties since ancient times, but they are not magic. Its all in your belief. Pearls calm you down, but only if you want to. Amazonite is a great stress reliever. It soothes the heart and calms the soul. It helps you to believe in yourself and express yourself confidently, but if you let negativity haunt you and you won't believe in yourself, what can the stone do..
Rose Quartz is known for attracting love, but you have to make an effort to recognize and accept love.

A friend of mine, recently divorced, wanted a fresh new beginning, So she invested her money to start a new business. I gifted her the Ganesha necklace for new beginnings. In Indian culture, Lord Ganesha is the lord of success, remover of obstacles. People worship him before starting any new venture.
Now that doesn't mean that she could just wear the necklace and sit in her room praying for success to come knocking at her door.. never!!
She wears the necklace with a firm belief that if she works hard she will be successful. Lord's blessings are with her and she needs to work hard despite all her troubles and hardships. She recently added a 2nd employee to her chocolate business. She is very happy and thats what I call success!

I am not saying that everybody needs these stones, malas and symbols for success. You can definitely do good without them. But they just add an extra layer of confidence, belief and support for those who need it.

Set yourself a goal, make yourself a promise, set an affirmation for yourself and make the change happen. If you need an empowerment tool to help you do so, please feel free to shop around our store. Hopefully you'll find something that will speak to you. All the best! Namaste!
